Hound Solo - The Bestest Boy
Julianne Thomas and her husband have had many dogs in the family over the years. The biggest one was named Hound Solo. A happy, loving, forever puppy who, despite his size, enjoyed being a lap dog whenever he could. His favorite toy was a stuffed whale that he carried around everywhere. You could often find him napping in the sun with his older brother, Chewbacca or “Chewie”.
In late 2018, Solo’s owner, Julianne Thomas, came home to find Solo had passed away unexpectedly while his parents were both at work.
Beyond the devastation of losing a loved member of the family, they were heartbroken that Solo’s last day on earth was not spent by their side. They mourned the time lost with him that was spent at work or at social obligations.
Inspired by Solo, Julianne made the decision to create a place where they could work, play, and regain some of the time they had lost—a place where free time can be enjoyed with all members of their pack. They named this concept in honor of the happy-go-lucky pup that inspired it all, and Solo’s was born.
Hound Solo may no longer be with us but his legacy lives on at Solo’s Park & Pub.
